[261123] Sensei's memorial prayer & Yongji's farewell...

Sensei, I will continue to send you daimoku. 

I’m glad that I was able to make it to Sensei’s memorial prayer yesterday. Initially planned to do Yongji’s farewell at southern island, but he fell sick and not in a good shape to be exposed to sun. Ended up we went to sing K, which left with 1-4pm. So I could go for one of the memorial sessions in the morning (thankfully my district session was later time). 

When I was in the hall, they have placed a photo of Mr Ikeda on the stage. Because I arrived early, gongyo hasn’t started. The moment doshi started leading the gongyo, I almost couldn’t complete my very first recital. Cause my eyes swell with tears, I thought I was ok and you know, calm over it, not actually. All the emotions seem to have surfaced, and ache in my chest is real.. (as if I did acupuncture on my chest, the post effect of the “sourness”). Throughout the session I have to think about being positive, otherwise I really couldn’t continue the prayer. 

I strongly believed Mr Ikeda has impacted many of his members, although I may been astray from my faith, I’m one of them who has his faith imprinted in my life.

Sensei! My mentor, my life giver, Mr Ikeda!

I’m from Soka Gakkai, it’s a Japanese Buddhism. Thanks to my mum’s religious faith in Soka, I am a fortune baby (born under the practice of this wonderful Buddhism). Although I am a fortune baby, I wasn’t all along active when it comes to my faith practice. My mum brought my elder sister & I to participate in Primary Division, I stopped joining after my elder sister graduated from PD. So I was not active at all until I scored terribly for my O level and my score couldn’t get me into any polytechnic. It was a terrible feeling of fear… I started to pick up my faith again, picking up my gongyo beads and chant. At times I chanted with tears, my prayer was to get into a polytechnic and in return I will continue with my faith practice and show my gratitude through my actions. 

My very first sincere prayer I have set, it was answered. Of course, I encouraged myself to make my first step towards my faith practice, my mum went around asking for me and even accompanied me to my first institution meeting in the Student Division, that’s how I find my place in RPSD. My first encounter was with Huimin, she has a pair of tiny eyes which added a degree of seriousness to her facial expression when she wasn’t smiling. I get to know Emily when Suyi/Huiping actually suggested to Emily & I could meet up and attend our next meeting in TSC since I never been there on my own before. That’s how I became acquainted with Emily! I knew Junhu through Emily’s masterwork of using my MSN while I was away from my laptop. We only have like 6 members in my batch, subsequently, Krystal changed her school, she left RPSD but we welcomed new member, Ynez. Because my batch was small, it was very easy for the 6 of us to be quite bonded, and overall members in RP are not that many and we were just gained “independence” from NYP or NP, I very much knew almost all my seniors. 

As I pen down my thoughts, reminiscing the times when I was actively participating in Soka Gakkai, despite learning the fundamentals of faith, practice & study, there was tons of fun too… We even had regular sport connect besides campus connect (study sharing) and also chalet! Of course, I had my downs too… Going through and bearing the pain of loss, and that very year which I had to go through the pain over 3 times. And the physical tiredness from participating NDP & Chingay which I could never experienced if I’m not into practice. 

Through all the years, I really made a lot of nice friends, most importantly, I forged a very valuable friendship with Emily & Huimin! 

After I graduated from SD CIC, I moved on to being a district leader. But later on, I dropped out from being district leader “voluntarily”, even after knowing that this will be my last straw of being active in Soka. I decided to go solo and find my way to join a cultural group, Soka New Century Orchestra. It’s my 8 years in SNCO, and I am still in touch with Soka. 

All thanks to Mr Daisaku Ikeda, our Sensei. I seriously think that no one, no one is ever able to reach the same level of work he has done and he is definitely irreplaceable. He has dedicated more than half of century of his life into this, I cannot imagine the immerse amount of work and sweat he put in while keeping up the constant changes in society and also the growing of demands to continue propagating human revolution. Without his unwavering faith, I might have missed out lots of things in my life! Because of him, I get to realise I truly like music (though I’m not a pro), enjoying my weekly practice. Almost half of my lifetime I have spent in Soka Gakkai, half of me is what this organisation has shaped me into. 

Sensei, thank you for opening up a window for me when I really need it! Thank you for allowing me to have fun, laughters and also sadness with tears. You will always be in my prayers, sending you my daimoku, so you can carry them along in your next life! Thank you my Sensei! *Happy tears

It has been superrrrrr duperrrrr long that I have last blogged, not that I lost my "interest" in it, but i practically have no time... Yeah, time management issue right? *Guess so* Anyway~~~
          
*7 June' 15: My very first audition, marked my start of my journey in SNCO!


I just want to have a shout out here! Lol! The love-hate relationship with..my trumpet! With the appearance of 3rd party *braces*, I don't know if I should cry or jump in joy.... *sigh* I thought my lips have been seasoned by now, a year passed, it should bear the abrasion.. Bloody hell it didn't, added on to my frustration! 
        
*31 Jan '16: First performance with SNCO *fellow trumpeters*!!

I love and enjoy the fun during each & every practice despite the dreadful journey to Boon Lay & the sleeping devil pulling me back to bed, other than that it's perfectly... AWESOME!! Despite not being exceptionally excellent player *though I longed to be one*, but it's really my, my good fortune to be part in SNCO!! It's my dream came true!!! Hahaha!!

Must really thanks my primary school classmate, Huihong... She pulls me into band and that's how everything started! She's to blame for my 肉体上的 pain... *sobs* hahaha! I doubt she will swing by here though~~~ Moving on >>>>
  
*29 May'16: 2nd performance :) with all the other xiaomeis & xiaodis!
 
Can't wait for another year whereby I can, hopefully to remove my braces~~~really really hope to become good use to my section rather than being burdensome to them... And now I'm occupied one of their parts, which is the 3rd trumpet! Lol! I'm sure that comrade of ours is looking forward to that day to have it back! Really wish to stay at where I am for the longest!!!!

*29 Oct' 16: With the Super "classical" version of performance, whole new level and experience for me! - I was questioned shouldn't I be in kotekitai before going into SNCO? I only know the existence of SNCO~~~ lol! But come to think of it, partly because of Li Li!!! She knows I played instruments so she ask me to go to SNCO audition! Hahaha!

I totally fell in love with SNCO, being together with all the seniors & juniors... Slowly slowly get to know all the little siblings, I really hope we can continue to strive together HAND IN HAND!!! I'm so grateful to my fellow trumpeters for accepting meeeeeeeeee!!! Everything about me!! *Super big smiles*

3 hours together, 3 hours of laughters and 3 hours of memories! Post NDP night!!

310813: NDP Post Celebration [OVER-RUN!]

WOOO!! 3 weeks after NDP and we meet again! ^^ How interesting can that be?? We totally missed all the fun we had before, during and after the performance! Basically, we enjoyed the journey THROUGHOUT!!
ROXANNE, ME, MINHUI, XINYI, KAITING, KAIJING, PEIYONG! - 7 dwarf! LOL!
(Not forgetting the video that I wanted to upload!! ^^ Our FULL performance on 090813!)

Had dinner with emily~~~ And even though we missed our evening gongyo, but emily and I were in time for the commencement of the celebration!! Erm, it was cute to see our emcees wearing so formal!! LOL! Because the chairman, in fact almost the whole NDP committee was there la~ No wonder all nice nice~~ 

 DAMN DISAPPOINTED THAT THIS YEAR NO NDP SHIRT!!! BUDGET TO THE MAX LA~~!!! Anyway...

 Was quite sad and shocked to see one of the members suddenly become so thin.. He was diagnosed with thyroid cancer, stage 2. Totally damn proud of him to really challenge himself throughout the NDP performance!! GOOD JOB!! Sometimes, we really need all these people to encourage ourselves to progress forward. Despite of their plight/ shortcomings, they are even doing better than us!!! Their practice of this Buddhism is so strong... They really felt it, they know what they should do... They know their missions.. What about us? Are we even fighting 50% of what they are? I doubt so.

Guess what??? They even make agar agar out of the highlight elements in our performance!!! SO NICEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!! It looks really nicely done! :D The lion!! SO CUTE LA... I want...

 It was quite a funny sight seeing the guy emcee taking off his blazer after the NDP organising committee has been sent off!! Totally relax only!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Talk like one kind, really laugh so hard! There's more to come!!
There was one performance from Block E4!!! OMG! Really laughed till I almost ran out of breath!!! So sad, couldnt find the video of that~~ Oh well~~

Not forgetting the skit that all the trainers have put in for us! :D It was nice and awesome! We really over time till 10.30pm!!! Awww.. When trainers given out the certificate, it really made me feel that everything has really ended... NDP really comes to an end already... We done it this year le!!! ^^ 

 Really fun! Total new experience!! Cant wait to meet them up again! HUAT AH! :) ^^

200812: Eileen's belated birthday!

We went to Dempsey Road to have dinner! Thank you Jeremy for driving me to meet the rest! Free transport~ I like~ Better than driving my own car, I prefer to sit in free rides~~~ LOL! Anyway... We had an awesome dinner!! Was starving!

We ordered different kind of dishes and shared~ One word to describe it: AWESOME! I really like the mushroom pizza with the 'wild grass'!


And we were all so looking forward to the 1m sausage that Jeremy has ordered! LOL! Eileen ordered fish and chip while Wilfred ordered soft shell crab.. Was eating and eating and eating! :) so happy!


After which, we decided to change to another venue for dessert! :) We order a cake for and a ice cream puff! YUM! Of course, the slice of cake is for eileen! We hope she like it! ^^

We talked alot of thing, and wilfred is damn joke! HAHAHA! Cause he shared with us his drama father! Very entertaining! 



I bought her a birthday card, and wanted to give it to her with an individual polariod picture with her. However, the batteries I brought over are not working well!! I was so ... *pull my hair*... My polariod was so not obedient!! :( I was so freaky upset, this isnt what I have expected.. I kept whining and whining to it, and amazingly when we about to get onto the car... GUESS WHAT?? IT WORKED! LOL!

I hurry ask them to take before the battery is out of its mind again! HA! But Jeremy no skill... The picture he helped me and eileen took so bright! HAHAHA! But anyway, at least my birthday card that I wanted to give her is completed~! :) Anyway, thank you Jeremy for bringing us back! :)

240812: SNG: Opening Soccer Match for women 5-5 @ YCK Sport Hall

Me and hazel were put into Bishan North Women soccer team! LOL! We get a gold medal thanks to all the other team who was supposed to compete with us.. But none of them turned up, it's all a walkover match.

During community game, before we made it to SNG!


Since it's walkover, we have no team to play with. Hmm, dont know it's a blessing in disguise? However, our captain Hazel feels that since we were there we at least should play abit. LOL! Then we get some other team who also tio walkover-ed to have a friendly match with us! Though we didnt know a shit as compared to the opponent team, but we still made an effort to do it! So proud of ourselves~!


Mdm Siah, winner the goalkeeper, jessalyn the defender and Ezzane the attacker! Not forgeting our captain, Hazel!


We have fun and sweat though! HA! Because we were so called the champion under Bishan-Toa Payoh Division, we made it to SNG which is Singapore National Games! HA! Without knowing!!


3 Days before our opening match at SNG, I received a call from Hazel.. She told me about the match! I was like a stunned, I thought we will never have to play again! ha! And so.. We have to really play this time round.. So nervous when we were approaching the hall! HAHHAHA! The ladies from Bishan North has already reached. Damn nervous!

We realised that our opponent is more trained than us, adding on they have 2 coaches!! We only have a manager and 2 supporters! LOL! But it was good enough! Cause we managed to survive for the first half with the score of 1-0. I think we were damn good!!!! HAHAHAHAHA!

However, during our 2nd half we were damn tired.. Because we have no break in between!! jitao played 24 minutes non-stop!! LOL! One of them hooked my leg lor, and I fell on my knee. Tsk, game continued lor! Never investigate, the referee suck! Especially when the opponent kana hand ball! Jitao take it as nothing happened. Tsk.

We were good overall, just that I own goal during the last few seconds, and another ball which bounced off from our goalkeeper, winnie's leg and they scored goal. even though the final score is 0-4, but I think it's 0-2 minus all away the mistakes we made and the accident! HA!



And after the first round, I realised the teams who were involved in SNG, we were the best losing team! HA! So proud! :)

Thanks to this event, I know what's soccer! LOL!

250812: Home Visiting Suyi & fat fat :D (Huimin, emily and junhu)

It was a beautiful saturday, when I have no work duty on that day. Decided to home visit Suyi! It has been some times we made our last visit! I was afraid fat fat forgotten about us! HA! 

Suyi was injured, she has sprained her back. Poor sister, she must be upset as she cant carry her own daughter! But she shared with us that fat fat was damn naughty, imitating how suyi walked while leaning against the wall! HAHAHA!

Jimmy's mother was around too! We talked to suyi and she was worried for us as we skipped district meeting that evening.. She preached to us the importance of it! HAHAHA! As usual of her! Chopstick came later abit.. HAHAHA! He's still as skinny~ And we were all good!



We were having lunch at her place as well, really tempting suyi! HAHAHAHA! Because we always had KOI when we visiting her. So she was quite paranoid that she smelt bubble tea! HAHAHAHA!


Thanks to emily's reminder, almost forgotten about the cake! Since it's a few days after chopstick's birthday.. It's not too late to celebrate for him! HA! Happy belated birthday chopstick!

After staying there for nearly an hour, fat fat finally woke up! She made a very cool entrance with her just wake up hairstyle!! LOL! She raised her hand high to say HI! SO CUTE!!! *Melted.*

When she's around, we forgotten suyi! LOL! We keep wanting to play with her! HEEE! Little baby has really grown up quite alot! :) Fat fat joycia, grow up well and be filial to your mother ok? :D


Because I didnt attend for district meeting, and doesnt want to waste the time, I decided to visit my ahma! :D

She admitted into the hospital for quite a number of times for the past few months... Sigh, dont know if she can tahan anot. She's old though. But hopefully she is doing fine. Ahma, JIAYOU!

290812: Soccer game with colleagues!

Had a badminton session with kenny, jordan and hazel! :) But was extremely tired after HQ forum.. But still, I just pushed on~~ HAHAHHA!

After badminton session we moved on to the rooftop for soccer.. But before that, when we were in the hall.. We were like thief when we saw Mr Lim out of the office to his car. We were so afraid to get seen by him. It's not nice even though we were using our break. LOL!

Hazel damn 'open', she jitao never hide and she say, "I also not a staff here~" She walked off to the main door while the rest of us has to go by the side door! HAHAHAH!

We took the soccer ball and proceed with the game. We teamed up after playing a few rounds of that black and white game! LOL! So hazel and kenny one team, while jordan and I another team. It was so much exhausting compared to badminton.. I laughed and ran till I no breath! LOL!

I really so exhausted that I decided to be goalkeeper, so proud that I managed to hit off the oncoming ball.. When I tried the 2nd time, I tio kicked by Hazel! LOL! My fourth finger was in pain... :( So painful can.. I headed back to office and whined to desmond and mani! LOL! I get ice from aunty Julie to ice my 4th finger. 

A few days after the soccer, cannot bend my finger!! :(
After a week, I decided to see another doctor. And he told me that my soft bone where my knuckle is, was shifted. that's why my fourth knuckle sink in. The sensei pulled my finger twice, I really screamed!! :(

But the amazing part is that after he pulled twice, I managed to bend my finger! YEAH! Though it was damn painful! HA! At least I can bend my finger, because less than a week I have violin exam.. I cant afford to lose that finger! HA!

It's an accident, but didnt expect to be so serious when my colleagues were all so confidence that after icing it will be ok! LOL! I scare of soccer now...

310812: A step closer to what I have always hoped!

WOO! I bought a trumpet which was on promotion till today! Instead of $2,000+ or $1,000+ of prices I used to see, I purchased it at $550 only! YEAH! Thanks to shuhui who has just started working at Yamaha, I managed to have someone there to help me check with the price! 


It's a dream came true after so long! But now, I will wait for Jinsi's reply if she wants to join me, if not I will join in near to the year end. For now I will have to brush up abit, since I havent play it since years after I graduated from Secondary school! Ever since I graduated from SD, all I can contribute back to gakkai is perhaps by attending district meeting? Honestly speaking, I wasnt as active as before. Because last time in SD, there were so many activities lining up for me. But now.. I dont want to drift off from soka! I want to find a way back which I can enjoy at the same time. And, this! By joining soka band! ^^ I must have the courage and wisdom to form back! :) LOL! AHHH! CANT WAIT! SO EXCITING! :D

I will never forget those little things you did for me, really thankful. 
But I was looking forward to hear from you, but I guess I can only do it once every year.

NDP! SO AWESOME AND TIRED!! LOVING EVERY MOMENTS!

090811: National Day!

 Woke up at 6.50am... Cause of the last minute work! :( I bought the 'ingredient' on friday, and started working on it till the next morning! SO FREAKY TIRED PLEASE~~ Almost wanting to give up, but since already made half way.. I just carry on. WOO!
The little thoughts I made for everyone! :)

Due to time constrain.. I never made the ear of the teacup! LOL! Oops.
I was late meeting emily tee!!! So sorry, but was glad that at least we still make it on time for the make up!!! WAHAHA! I told emily I was scared, because I first time let the make up aunty help me! LOL!

Almost get a bunchy hairstyle, but thankfully we found our choreographer, liyan to help us tell the in charge that we dont have bunch hairdo done for ONCE! So NO! LOL!

Shana that girl, jitao dont know how to leave that dangerous situation.. In the end, her hair was bunched up! LOL!

But I think they are just concerned! Got one!! I saw this participant attitude problem sia!! People helped you to make up still like angry the aunty dont know for what.. So unhappy next time DIY LA! haha!

After that we went to the opposite coffeeshop for lunch! heh! Yes, with the very exaggerating 'mask' on! HAHA! Just nice when we went back to the hall, all of them were standing up doing the run through!! Nice timing!!! But everyone seems to be so high yea!!

We had an awesome time with all the different continent choreographers solo-ing on stage in return of having FULL ATTENDANCE!! WAHAHAHAHAHHAAAA! But the basket part when both choreographers from SYDC doing their solo dance... You can see the obvious difference between Melvin and Jinwen, when jinwen was doing his dance.. All the aunties and uncles were chiong-ing in front of the stage to take pictures and video of him!!!! Omg.. Like a sad sia! LOL!

Then we did our evening gongyo together.. 1hour sia!! O.O  zZzZz..

Definitely so nervous and excited when the music starts!!! I really wanted that it will be a HUGE success!!! When it's our turn to be up, I don't know who to look at.. But I still smiled la~~ haha! So 'touched' when we ended our item!! *sobs* LOL!

HEH! I was awesome! haha! Ended my 5 months of training for that less than 5minutes of performance on the stage. It was tiring, fun, angry and joyful journey!! Moving from kranji camp to marina platform... Every part of the journey seems so exciting and fun! To the actual day, when everyone cheered for us, throw away their images just to entertain us in return of putting up an excellent performance!!! All of them! Were so awesome!!

All the sweat and effort we put in, I think is all paid off! Although I have yet to see the whole performance! LOL! But, I have fun with my teacup kakees! :) Just like the bubbles! To learn to blow bubbles, it takes some time.. After you get the hand of it, the bubbles you blown out of it only last for a few minutes but it was so beautiful at that time! WOOOOOO! AWESOME FIRST PARTICIPATION OF NDP 2011! :D: National Day! I will never forget this year!!! :) Unforgettable journey! :D


Comrade, you saw me? I had a great time.
Though till now I have yet to have any actual goal.. But I will continue to try!!!
Must believe in me that I always had wanted to do your share.
I want to live my life to the fullest like you used to do when you are around.
I will want to try! I want! I will!!
