It has been a long long time since I returned from taiwan! LOL! Was there from 26/12/13 - 5/1/14 together with Ynez and Emily~ First trip to taiwan together, and we definitely love the place and the people there!

First two days, we stayed at ximending. Totally excited about everything, it's just everything!

First day, in the plane to taiwan!

Arrived at the airport!

We were exploring the place and went to shilin for night treats and snacks and dinner! The weather cold can, but the Singaporean girls just so adventurous for just wearing a jacket, normal jacket while others were wearing coats~~~

We tend to eat more variety of street snack on the first day only, spent too much time on shopping not enough time for food! LOL!

On the second day we went to gold mine museum! Erm, it was extremely cold can... We alighted too early? Therefore we decided to walk all the way in, the wind really made us shivered madly inside us!! *Brr* Guess what?? When we spoke, cold mist can be seen from our mouth!! AHHH! This is what we can never experience in Singapore... HAHAHA! Fun fun!

This ginger bean curd saved us from the coldness~ Shiok~ But quite spicy! LOL!

After walking and exploring the place, we had our lunch at the resturant with their speciality, the bento set! Pork chop with rice! It was nice, their pork chop was huge la.. Totally felt like one of their gold mine worker having lunch in the cold weather.. Like a bit pathetic, LOL!

Do you know the very famous restaurant? The famous toilet restaurant! haha! The food is not as bad as I thought, but it's very very nice as it will be. However, the portion is damn huge! Quite worth it, suitable for people like me who does not pick on food that it must be nice~! Edible and filling is what important to me!

3rd day, we have to leave Taipei to Taizhong! We have driver to bring us around~! Oh yea~ It was another whole new experience with driver bringing us around! And our first day with the driver, we get to try out their.... braised pork with rice!!! OH YEA~ Now we all understand, understand why the driver only recommend us to go for the small one first.. Because of the sauce that is quite oily, one small bowl is actually enough! LOL!

I miss this man!! This interesting glutinous rice ball which I thought it will be the normal dessert version, where the sesame sauce will flow out.. BUT NO! It's actually pork!! It's not a sweet food that I thought it would be! I LOVE THIS MAN!!!

Ynez found a sausage she loved! We saw her looking for it every single day without failed! Perhaps whenever she saw street food stall!

We continued on to 青青草原 to see all the sheeps~ Oh yea, this place is emily's world~

The weather was so much colder than 西门町! Brr. Can help but to jump jump jump in this cool air which we wont get to perspire so much if we did this in Singapore~!

Did you know that it's really true that those cold countries will experience early sunset? The time has not reached 6.30pm, the sky already darken... -.- For the first few days, we totally cannot get used to it! LOL!

So coincidentally that emily bumped into her friend, who she did not meet for a long long time~ Fortunately, we have someone to take a picture for us rather than self taking.

Not only the sheeps but horses too! Oh yea~! Cold weather, oh yea~~!

The weather so cold that we can freeze any moment, especially during their nightfall, it was extremely cold! Can you imagine our first dinner was in a open concept restaurant???? Our food was piping hot, but after 5 - 8 minutes.. It already turned cold. It was so cold to the extend that the hot hot chicken that we need to use a glow to peel off, emily didnt feel hot at all! LOL!

That night was the most unbearable, I cant believe it was so cold that we couldnt leave out of the heating mat. We had to bath at night since I have decided not to touch the water the next morning, OMG. It was so... chilling that I can feel the water vapour/ mist around me!!!! I still remember how we discussed on how many layers we were going to wear and how many heat packs we going to stick on! The most exaggerating part is we going to wear 2 - 3 layers of pants! LOL!!!!

Out of the 11 days, that night was the only time that passed soooooo slowwwwwww.... As we going to see sunrise the next day, we slept the earliest... Despite feeling that at least it's going to be 4am.. but it turned out to be only.. 12am????!!

I think the saddest thing was that, we couldnt go watch the sunrise as the tour guide called in saying that it will be dangerous due to the weather... AWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWW!!!! We were soooooo excited~!

No choice, friendly driver drove us to a park instead... Erm, it's a endless staircase park! You have to climb and climb and climb.... We gave up after that! LOL!

Up next, we went to this 18 degree Handmade chocolate! It was sooooooooo pure! :) Totally loving it! Bought a box of chocolate for my mum, and a ice cream for myself. Hmm, if I can remember I guess I ordered milk tea and passionfruit flavour?

Guess what? I have been trying very hard to keep the chocolate from being fresh, putting into the fridge immediately after checking into different hotels... And there was once that I totally forgotten to retrieve it from the car, and it goes unrefrigerated for... 1 day!!!

This is my chocolate!! But I was so afraid that it will spoilt by the time it reached Singapore. :(

But I never give up.. I continue to keep it as cold as possible! Surprisingly it is still edible by the time I returned to Singapore! So happy! My mum enjoyed it!

We even went to bee hive place! OMG! It's really bee~~~ We tried their honey ice cream, but it seems to taste like coconut! LOL!

We have hakka lunch~~~ Oh~ I am a Hakka~! Oh yea~ This is my place!!

We ordered stir fry intestine with ginger, it turned out to be 70% was filled with gingers.... -.-

After which right, we went to this train station... It was quite cool as the train rail track was opened to the public!

As we visited Taiwan during the last week of 2013, therefore there was this tree, christmas tree which included each visitor's new year resolution!!! Of course, we didnt want to feel left out too!

After this place, we were brought to another place closer to the sun moon lake~ This place was where we saw the hotair balloon?? I guess so.

Our uncle driver's last stop was here! He brought us to the boat ferry, we were to take a boat to look look see around the lake~ We were quite late, and had to run to catch the last boat! In fact, we were running more than we sightseeing! HAHA!

He brought us to the 断桥... A very interesting place where you need to have 2 people to connect the bridge before you can actually cross over~ Of course, our monkey representative took the lead! ^^

Our tour guide told us to climb the bridge so that he could help us take a picture each, guess what.. While we were walking to the area, I saw a huge spider web with the help of the sun that shine through it which causes a reflection into my very eyes.. I was looking and examining, how big is this spider web!!! It's so complete~!!! I was wondering where is the spider?? I thought it was the normal one that I was thinking, but I was wrong. It was so huge that I did not expected and put my whole face infront of the spider. -.- Thankfully the spider was BEHIND the web.

After the photo taking, we left to another part... 高雄!!!

So cool right? I actually seeing plantation which I never get to see it at Singapore~~~

The next stop we went is another ice cream shop! ^^ Oh yea~ Is this shop that make me love Earl grey tea ice cream! DAMN NICE CAN!!! I totally love them!

Not stopping in our footsteps, we proceeded to 心之坊庭!! Very sweet and loving place, heard from our tour guide, it's the place that is very popular for wedding shot! Oh yea~ Now we know the reason!

The most epic part when we were playing around, we really jumped into the mud... the mud so soft and.. COLD!! Until.... We heard a sharp beep sound... OMG! We werent allow to be walking on mud!!! HENG WE ALL WERE TOURIST BACK THEN!!! Our tour guide quite cool, helped us to take one last picture before we were back on the bridge again...

Last day together with the tour guide! Huat ah!

We went to Dream Mall for countdown!! It was 31 December 2013, a new year was about to commence soon! WOO! Cant believe that we have celebrated our first countdown oversea yea? So cool!

First, we went into the shopping mall to settle our lunch first! CHICKEN! It was a special chicken, cause... We get to eat it with fingers, but with gloves! So hygienic please! Emily loves it! She likes it clean!

Oh yea! A whole new feeling~~

Now come to think of it, I really have no idea how we spent that whole afternoon waiting for the countdown to commence! But I definitely will remember we went to see hello kitty stuff! HAHA!

Our dinner was extremely simple, and it was good!!! I really love their 7-11!!! All their cup noodles were simply awesome!!! *slurp*

Next day~ We travelled back to 台中.. I think this is the day that we overslept??? Did we? There was once we really overslept! Almost missed our train back to 台中!!! I didnt even have the time to wear my contact lens! Sobs.

On the way back to 西门, both of them had a haircut! While I have a really good power nap!!

Ok, this is really testing my memories as I am updating this like 3 months after!! LOL!

Going Taiwan, how can we miss TAIPEI 101??? However, one thing I disliked about it is the long way up the observatory area... The lift was way too scary, like a roller coaster ride to me.

I will never forget the binoculars! In order to use it, we still had to pay for it. Out of curiosity, I dropped a penny into it. I was using it until this China elderly couple came standing behind me. Heng ynez was with me, she kept telling me dont let them had the chance to use it since we paid for it. True enough we both sticked to the binoculars for quite long, then they commented LOUDLY, "Why they use so long? They should give the chance to others!" Ynez replied them that WE paid for it, then they immediately shut off and left! Tsk. Please la, get the fact right before you comment LOUDLY! Humph.

During the stay in the hotel, there was this housekeeper who always went for the extra mile to take GOOD care of our soft toy... My was not as creative as ynez's! LOL!

One of the days, we woke up real late! Around early noon, we were really exhausted. Perhaps we were the lesser few who chiong all the days so early in the morning... That day, we went to visit taiwan kaikan! Their book store is seperated from their main building.. And the best part is they closed damn early..

At least we made it to the store on time.. (Sadly I couldnt find my pineapple tarts I bought for Suyi and Jinsi!! OMG!)

Despite that the time was like 5/6pm, the sun already going to set...

Since the kaikan has closed, we crossed opposite to the museum, but we spent more time outside taking funny pictures! LOL!

One of the days we went to 淡水... It was a very nice place to cycle!! Should have done that~ But too cold, and we did something to conquer the coldness.. By eating ice cream! LOL!

Thankfully I ordered the small one! The big one cannot finished by one person...

Took the interesting train ride to Xinbeitou!

The last day we went to Shifen? It was cold toooooooo!!!! Didnt expected it to be cold again!! Was really freezing, but we learnt our lessons for the past few days to bring heat packs where ever we went... Oh yea, it's of a good use again!

The train ride was so unbearable!!! SO LONG! Have to change 2 rides... At last when we reached shifen, it's so cool to be crossing on the REAL railway track!!!

By the time we reached there, we were all hungry... We saw the very first stall selling this chicken wing with rice inside it!! The most shocking part was that the cook was actually a young teenager boy!

Happily walking down the street of stalls, and there was a lot of stalls doing this 天灯 business... And we decided, "lets do it!"

Taiwan people are really awesome, they are so friendly and very very helpful! Thank you for not despising us!

We considered quite lucky, that day the weather wasnt good enough to put the lantern.. Because it was like drizzling, and surprisingly ours really got flied off very successfully.. Unlike another hand, we saw this group of youngsters whose lantern got crash onto someone's rooftop!! OMG! Can you imagine how sian it was when all the wishes written were gone in such a bad situation...

We decided to head back after which~~~
