[111021] Birthday lunch @ Bedrock Origin

My awesome colleague, Ms Song brought me to Bedrock Origin for lunch!!! Their lunch starts at 12pm, even if we arrived there early, we had to wait patiently till they are ready. 

Anyway, this restaurant is located in Sentosa, faces directly opposite Imbiah station. We took free ride via monorail, free ride will end by end of Mar 2022. 



We ordered set lunch, I’m glad I changed my choice to tenderloin rather than ribeyes. Haha! Cause ribeyes was boring with steak butter and fries...

The waiting time of the food was ok, I believe that really cook upon orders... so while waiting we got serve with flatbread which tasted like naah! Hahaha! It goes with roasted garlic and butter.


Since it was made upon order, even the bread was still warm when served!

TRUFFLE MUSHROOM SOUP

As usual, I was being boring again, decided truffle mushroom soup as starter. It’s a wrong move, not much of truffle taste, overpowered by the mushroom. I think it’s bad that the soup tasted quite plain, kind of under seasoned, ended up asking for salt & pepper! Hahaha! Tasted so much better with the condiments!

Peizhi’s baby gem starter was way better than mine! Despite having a little bitterness from the grilling, but overall it tasted well! At least not under seasoned LOL!

While waiting for the main to be served, Peizhi again scanned around the place and noticed this huge pot of... grass? Hahaha! It looks like pandan plant! Hahaha! Really huge! And we noticed quite a no. of customers ordered their fish & chip too! 

Very fortunate that we took the same main, cause the done-ness of my steak came out to be more cooked than Peizhi’s. If she didn’t showed me hers, I may have thought mine was ok. In the end, I heed her advice to return the main (since it’s an expensive meal), the staff seems to be a little less responsive when I made the request. (Totally different kind of reaction as compared to the service shown in Hell Kitchen) But I’m thankfully they are willing to change for me, despite I only took like 1 or 2 bites... (Ya, I should have taken more bites!)

Peizhi’s tenderloin was nicely done! This is what medium rare should be!

Thanks my neighbour-at-work for her persuasion, I changed to tenderloin! Hahaha! Tenderloin was so soft... it goes so well with the shallot sauce~ I thought they could give more tomatoes~ you have to  take it with a little of everything like the potato slice, foie gras & onion!! Yum! Anyway, when they did the 2nd round for me, I tink in the middle was quite rare! Lol! But I didn’t tell Peizhi haha, it was ok, I think because it was very flavourful, it may have covered the bloodiness taste. They also did service recovery by giving us complimentary voucher! (I guess they didn’t want to ruin my “birthday” lunch - HAHAHA!)

DEEP-FRIED MACADAMIA NUT BROWNIE

SALTED CARAMEL LAVA CAKE

We recently had cheesecake quite often, so we immediately took out burned cheese cake from our options and go with the other 2. And guess what, I just realised that the description for my lava cake did include sour cream & crumbles... but where’s my crumbles??!!! LOL! I don’t recalled eating any crumbles.. anyway, lava cake gave me an impression something will oozes out from the cake. Was looking forward to that when I cut the cake right at the center... nothing happened. Hahaha! Apparently, the sauce that supposed to ooze out was transferred to the top of the cake. It didn’t taste that fantastic. 

As for the deep fried brownie, it was so cool and tasted so much better than my lava cake! The batter was crispy despite being soaked with the ice cream for awhile, the brownie was good and they gave whole nuts of macadamia! The fried thingy doesn’t make the brownie awkward, it was a good combination! 

I really had an awesome lunch!!! :D

[170921] The Co-op dinner!

It’s my brother’s birthday celebration! Actually, I was kind of upset when my clique didn’t reply my message about the pressie. Which was why I just decided to do it on my own! Hahaha! 

Thanks to Peizhi, our food icon ambassador, she pasted me this food recommendation link she came across at Tampines. It came into good use today! Hahaha! This restaurant was damn not easy to be noticeable inside Tampines Hub. Don’t be intimidated when you see this “HOMETEAM NS”, just go straight at it! This restaurant was located at the end after the “HOMETEAM NS” logo.

That day was very humid & hot!! I was sweating like mad when I reached the place.... sigh. But at least we weren’t very late from our reservation! 

Anyway, we decided on our dishes quite swiftly, the waiter was explaining what’s polenta fried. His description was easy to understand, “taste like nacho chips”! - indeed!!! He said there wasn’t any flour in the fries! Ralph should have ordered “Classic Aglio Olio” (I wasn’t paying attention when he ordered for his), and I got myself “Pan-seared Seabass fillet”.

Haha! I totally forgotten to take a picture of his food! I went to take a look at his choice’s description. No wonder he kept commenting his dish very spicy. His pasta has garlic, bird’s eye chilli, chicken bratwurst, parsley, extra virgin olive oil & chilli flakes. It didn’t contain the normal type of chilli for aglio olio (usually chilli padi or chilli flakes), it has bird’s eye chilli! Having it alone is spicy enough! - I googled

I hope he didn’t get tummy ache! 

Mine was good!!!!! I made a good choice! Mine was 200g fillet, asparagus, sauce vierge & garlic mash! The sauce was really good, it goes very well with the fish, mash & asparagus!!

Sauce Vierge is a French sauce made from finely diced tomatoes, olive oil, fresh herbs and a touch of lemon juice for freshness. Adding the fish’s freshness, it was really a decent dish! Yum! 

I hope Ralph enjoyed his dinner & cake!! Happy birthday to you once again!!!

121013: October meet up with the ladies~! 

WEEE~~ Another month, and here we are again! :) I'm getting used to the monthly meet up we have! I think it's damn awesome can! HAHAHA! The ladies were damn cool can!! They initially wanted to give me a surprise by coming over to my house, but I think fated la~~ I wasnt with my phone, and the plan was cancelled! HAHAHA! I didnt know after we left for home! They are damn awesome can! :)

Since rachel has to leave early, we really on the go to decide what to eat but the problem we couldnt find Swensen! LOL! It was damn joke when the four of us kept walking round and round till we bumped into Gina who was late!! HAHAHA! But heng, we still manage to find the place thanks to Gina who went to ask the people working there! But the Swensen's location is damn weird la! Doesnt look like it's in ION la!

We talked as we eat la, but poor tian her spaghetti damn spicy to be consumed, in the end she only finished half of it. The soft crab spaghetti was great! It was slightly spicy but not as spicy as the black pepper! Can try! Hee!

I have a "birthday cake"!! Awfully chocolate leh!! AWWW~!!! Meltzzz! The chocolate really melt in my mouth lor! Thank you for the cakes! ^^ AH~~~ It was an awesome meetup!! :D

181013: My brothers! *Thumbs up!* 

My fellow brothers! HAHAHA! They damn onz! At least meeting on a Saturday but couldnt make it so changed it to a Friday, despite I working PM shift and can only meet them after 10pm.. They still very onz to meet up!! 
They bought a cake and a present for me!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! 

Erm, but they say I bring suay-ness to them, on the way to the stretch of food.. It rained. -.- Then never mind, all the ice cream shop damn full! Eh~~ Dont like that leh~ hahaha! But thanks to ralph's sharp eyes, we managed to find seats for the four of us at Udders! Weeeee~~~ Their melon ice cream nice! Can try! :)

Eh, of course the ice cream is not the main thing la~~ IT'S MY BIRTHDAY CAKE!! They all another awesome bunch of friends!!! Both stayed at the end of west side but still come over to my working area to celebrate for me!!! Sorry that I didnt put in more enthusiasiam when you all bluffed me the present is hello kitty related! LOL! I really hate hello kitty la! Not all girls like leh~ But I was on my smile once more when I decided to open up the cruelty, OH! It was CAREBEAR SIA!! A new design, which suited the month! HALLOWEEN! haha!! Totally MORE AWESOME than hello kitty la!! WEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!!~~~ 
We stayed up till 11pm and have to leave already! It was still raining! LOL! Xie xie! Didnt expect you all to draw out time for this meet up especially for putting in the effort to even travel down from somewhere isnt near!! :) So touched, really appreciate for that!! It made me feel that it was really my birthday month!!!!!!! Woo! *Heavy heart* ^^

Simplicity without expectation!

HA! Actually I wanted to put this post together with my other rojak details, but I guess since it's about my birthday I shall not be stingy to myself! So here I am! For the past few weeks, I had been rushing for my endless assignments!!! I had two due assignments which had 20 marks deducted from each. OMG. :( Damn depressing la! :( I hope overall I can still do it well, if not I may have to repeat module, then I have to pay extra more.. NOOOo~~~

Anyway, this isnt the point.. The point now is.. I'm 23 now! OH~~!! What a birthday I had for this year, had to attend course at IMH and even dropped my phone into the toilet bowl on my BIRTHDAY!!! BOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!! Damn sad, nobody celebrated on my actual day is sad enough... but still need to report for work.. extra boos!

Thinking that I may not even have a birthday cake for this year... BUT HERE IT IS!! My new colleague, JJ is damn awesome! High passion in serving customers but also quite caring towards colleagues! She bought me a cake!! Touched die me!! :) Really thank you!! You really make me feel like it's really my birthday... I think if not Li Li really going to buy me a cake! HAHAHA! Nice Li Li always appeared in the nick of time... Just like my birthday tooo! Thank you! :D

Even though I was sick, but I still picked up knife to cut a slice for myself! Of course the others la... HAHAHA! I'm not so greedy!

Hmm, despite blocking so many days for this week to have some fun during my birthday, I ended up doing assignments. LOL. It's better not to have any expectation. 

For the past few days, emotion has been hit real hard. Crying silently really is my forte now! Sometimes outcome can really make a person looks like a fool, try too hard cannot, never try also cannot. So, what should I do? It does really matter if you have a single thought of putting yourself into other's situation... If not, you are already unknowingly making your own stand not neutral stand. 

I have opened up already, no replies. -.- I don't know what's that means. I better stopped thinking and don't expect anything. Perhaps, previously I expecting too much which in the end only bring sadness to myself. I think I screwed up totally! What a lousy month I had, lousy birthday!

Sigh Sigh.. Just felt so .... I should learnt from this incident.. Expect NOTHING and only go it through as simple as possible. Birthday is just like any normal days~~~ 

Mummy makes it better.. She brought me and my both sisters for dinner at Marche! I love food! Thanks mum! ^^

020313: Meet up with Coursemates - The ladies!

Yeah! As what tian has said, OUR FIRST MEET UP IN 2013!!! Hehs! It was always a very enjoyable meetup! Though our nonsense + blabbering has decreased (definitely because we have grow up *cheeky smile*), but we managed to have a good chitchat session! ^^

The birthday book! Instead of a birthday card! Nice leh! ^^
We decided to meet up for lunch since we can have our evening times free since it's a saturday!!! Thanks Gina for suggesting to have our lunch at Marche @ Somerset 313, it was great! We decided to order 5 different dishes and share~~ Yeah~ It was a good idea, but because my stomach still weak from gastric flu, I dare not try to finish the food! LOL! I think we made a good choice of food, at least most of the food we ordered we can finish most of it? HA!
Steak, Rosti (Potato with sour cream), Grilled Salmon (tasted great with lemon juice), Paella (Seafood and chicken rice) &  Parma Ham pizza (which came out latest and we were too occupied with the rest of the food that we didnt wait for it! LOL!)!!
The resturant was big, didnt expect it to be that big though~ Oh ya! Guess what? We made a big joke out of ourselves~~ Tian, pearlyn and I decided to find a seat to settle down while waiting for the rest to come.. And we happily sit down a clean table of 6.. Not long after that, we heard a guy with a very strong Indian accent telling us that the seat was taken as they put the tag to RESERVE and we didnt even realised the existence of it!!! So small on the table of 6 la! No choice, we have to leave for another table and this time round.. We learnt our lesson.. We looked out for the table tag which stated RESERVE or not. Walau. The 'dumb' moment we did infront of... *You know who*.. 

Today, was a day before rachel's birthday!!! Of course we must show something for her... We bought a birthday book and cake for her! It's a birthday BOOK wor! Quite interesting right? And it's damn cute! LOL!

I really dont mind going to Taiwan!! Taiwan did have a huge variety of yummy foods!!! AWWW~~~ Talking about that, gina was soooooooooooooooooooo bright! LOL! Really wish to go overseas with the girls! We see how it goes! :)
YOU KNOW WHAT???? My heart almost died!! After changing the new set of batteries, my polariod still doesnt work! I was like.. NOoOoOoooOoOooOOOOoooooo~~~~ Polariod was a gift from them and some of my other coursemates, but I dont want it to die like that.. So I kept trying, until... It works again!! LOL! YEAH! I realised my polariod like to play 'heart attack' with me.. Not the first time already hor!!

After tian and gina left first, rachel, pearlyn and I went to walk around to kill times together with pearlyn as she has to pick her nephew up at 7pm. Pearlyn is so good to her nephews la!! LOL! Anyway, chitchat never stopped!! Then we parted around 5pm, thanks to rachel! I managed to borrow some psychology resource to get myself prepared for studies~~ ^^ Cant wait! LOL! 

 Conclusion: LUNCH MEET UP -- SUCCESSFUL!

 It was good to meet up once in awhile, as this is the chance we lend each other listening ears and to update each other. Life for me changed after I meet each and everyone of different people around me, the ladies are included too! Just want to share with them that even times has changed for us, we didnt have more time together just as we used to have during polytimes, BUT! We will definitely be there when we are needed, just dont forget each other's presence okay?

 You know, friends are getting 'out of the circle' as we grew up (dont know if I'm the only one facing this), especially when we were so tied up with work and studies at the same time. Meeting up with friends have become a luxury to me, really thankful we still can meet up like this after rachel has mentioned, "we almost graduated 3 years ago!" 3 years, not 3 months! LOL! Hopefully I managed to keep them with me throughout my life, because I lost before I will want to treasure with what I have now. Sobs. 

 Thank you all of you for spending times for today's meet up! :D Let's meet up again! ^^

Many, lots, plenty, much!

Hmm, how long since my last blogging session? 

I'm a busy woman now, burying myself with work.. Tons of work, difficulties that I faced just like any normal working adult.

I have quite a number of different groups of friends, classmates, coursemates and cohort mates... But as times passed, I lost a few.. However, there is a group of friends that I will never want to leave them behind as memories. My RPSD comrades! It was one of my comrades's 21st last sunday, none other than emily tee! 

I was very very very afraid that I didnt do enough preparation for her birthday, especially when I have like events in the same month which is not a good thing as it can turn out quite nasty if I didnt pay much attention.


Especially her present, we only managed to really squeeze out the time so last minute to get it done!!

Fortunately, I foresee myself being busy. I went back to office during my off day in the weekend to get her a 'big tigger'! Sometimes, really always have those devilish freak who blocked me from accomplishing things. It's my work-related monster!! DAMN SUAY! I will never forget how she came into the office which I was hiding at the other side of the table that my colleague was seated. Initially, wanted to use the projector in the other room. But I have no choice but to fleed to the classroom to do it instead!!

Do it in a very secretly manner though, only managed to stay till with the completed outlines since I have to rush back home to have my dinner.

I'm very happy with my own 'hardwork'! LOL! During the first day she checked in, I helped her & her mum with her stuff! I brought her 'tigger' with me, quite pissed off with myself because I lost one of the pieces! WALAU! Always like that!! It was a good thing that I managed to go help her as the painting of the chalet is quite plain. So I went back home to do more printing. I went back office to look for my lost pieces but actually I lost it at home! I really seated outside the gate for 30minutes to an hour for it to open!! LOL!

Collected all the necessary things and flew to pasir ris!! So surprised to see emily and her cousins awake! HA! I also hurried off to cut all the neccessary stuffs! The previous night, my mum nagged at me as usual. Telling me not to sleep so late, but.. thinking of how emily carried me during the practice day for chingay.. This is just a small case. She's like my 救命恩人! ^^

***Felt sorry when chopstick kana bombarded by the rest with his shirt. Sorry, I was the one who asked him to dig out one of the tee shirts with any colours of blue, yellow or red. I didnt expect his shirt's design is so.. HIM! LOL..

I'm just so glad that all our beloved IICs came with their lovely babies! HEE! They are soooo adorable! Especially joycia, the fat fat.. She just called me as 'jiejie' but emily as 'aunty' & herself as 'eheh'! LOL! Meihui's sihan is so good girl can! So pretty her eyes~~

So pleased that it ended.. At night angie came with her baby boy! Also another handsome boy lor! Cheeky boy I should say! Hee! We had our late dinner and went back to the chalet to play wii.. Emily and 2 of her friends stayed as well, we played super mario together.. IT WAS A JOKE!!! Of course, alcohol was there too! HA! But I was so into the taste of it that I totally drinking blindly till I vomited. -.- It's suck. Felt so sleepy.. But I felt better after I puked. Guess what, huimin, ynez and I stayed through the whole night to play the game!! It was fun though!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I left together with ynez, while huimin left earlier as both of us got work later.. Totally in a drunkard moment on the way home.. I felt so sleepy till I always lost my footing. -.- Damn chui! When I returned to office, worse. I felt like a ghost floating around. Best is I was the only staff at night. LOL!

Alright, moving on~~ See the bear below? My favourite cute bear I had since Secondary three!! Not only I adore it, my younger sis also likes it! But I was quite sad-ed when my mum wanted to dump it.. However, my sis saved it! LOL!

Huimin handed me an awesome belated present!! OMG! I LOVE ITTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTT!!! Before I opened her present, I told my mum I quite stress to receive huimin's present. Cause sometimes scare too expensive.. True enough, after I opened it. I decided to keep the present I prepared for her, I'm going to buy something to 'top up' her present! LOL!

She really got put heart into it! Especially the miniature trumpet!! *So touched* I'M REALLY SO HAPPY! My mum laughed at my silly face when I opened it infront of her. Hee. But it's pretty right?

[191212] Xmas Surprise with Cohort Mates!

WEEEE~~ Had 'awesome' dinner at ONE ROCHESTER! But kind of sad-ed as the food is not up to my taste. :( Very sad. IT'S WAY TOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO SALTY LA! I drank dont know how many cups of water, like CAMEL storing water. Tsk. The fries also salty! WTH. Spoilt my whole dinner.

Dessert was awesome!! But couldnt taste much after the salty treatment. 
But... I receive lots of presents! :D Hee! This kind of session was cool! Though I have problem finding for the presents.. Hai.. So headache can! Very stress when both jiahan and wilfred bought individual xmas present for us as well! LOL! Our group 的男人满细心的, LOL!

So after our dinner, we can afford to go to another place to chill lax~ chill lax~ We went to Holland. V's Wala Wala~~ Though I still havent recovered from my rashes, but I think I still can afford to have a small cup of cocktail~~ WAHAHAHAHAHA! It was a nice chat, but we can do without all the teasing of me. LOL! Hmm, as usual~ 

I felt so sorry for eileen, as she was so tired but still tahan till we left. I hope you manage to wake up the next day for work.

I think out of all those presents I received, I think I like the belated birthday card I received from them! WAHAHAHAHAH! Oops. I really loveeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee the card! The colour is awesome, and the design inside is even better! It's just too cool to see it really pop out like a birthday cake!

All these really show all the thoughtfulness from them! :) Really appreciated it! Totally have no idea when they wrote the messages too.. LOL! They are way too good to hide it from me. HA! Ok, I shall not be annoyed by all the sarcastic-ism from the guys! LOL! I'm really happy each time after meeting up with them!
