[270821] Dinner with colleagues!

Finally, Adeline is now vaccinated. Peizhi quickly arranged to add her into the guest list just one day before our dinner plan! We were hoping to have dinner again before COVID cases disallow us to dine in.

This time round, we chose KULTO!

We took grab and realised we were there quite early! Hahaha!

As usual, we spent quite an amount of time deciding what to order. We ordered 4 dishes to try! Overall, the food wasn’t that good as compared to ARTICHOKE. So far, to me, the roasted cauliflower tasted the best from ARTICHOKE. KULTO’s roasted cauliflower was unfortunately not roasted enough, when we removed the dressing, it’s clearly looked like steamed cauliflower. It was roasted or in fact burnt on the bottom, tasted quite bland if you didn’t go with Tahini sauce. Kind of disappointed...

Iberico chorizo was good! I feel it tasted so much better than the rest! Haha! We mixed the poached egg with the sliced potatoes & sausages, it later turned into gravy which we dipped it with the bread. It was well balanced with every ingredients seasoned, definitely not as bland as the cauliflower! Haha!

The sauce of the fish was ok-ok, it was good that the fish was fresh and tender. Lastly, the paella came in a huge pan! Hahaha! It’s like the “angmoh” style of claypot rice!! Spanish pork sausage is like always heavily seasoned, so the rice was a little salty... but it tasted well! It formed a thin crust at the bottom of the pan which really felt as if it’s claypot rice!!

So after dinner, Peizhi helped to source for a cafe nearby for round two!!! *Ding ding ding

We came to FRENCH FOLD! As they have reserved seats for walk-in, since we started our dinner early, we managed to swing by here with a table available for us!

Their staff were all super friendly and very engaging! Despite we spent awhile deciding what to get, as always~~

We choose no. 13 (lemon) & 15

We ordered 2 crepes to share: 13) Brown sugar, butter from Maison Beillevaire & 15) Homemade salted caramel! For crepe no. 13, we get to choose the type of butter, we got the lemon! I thought it would be more thick and bigger... I personally prefer salted caramel! I think it was so-so only...

Hasmin & Adeline each ordered cappuccino, I got a mocktail "Normandy Affair" and Peizhi didn't get any drinks... She wanted to buy the coffee but afraid she has sleeping problem again... She ended up with 2 scoops of ice cream... she chose scary flavour "Hojicha seasalt" & "strawberry basil". LOL!

Apparently, their coffee is good! Certified by Hasmin & Adeline!

My mocktail was not too bad, it's organic apple mint juice, strawberry nectar, lime & ferrarelle rouge.

Adeline left earlier, fortunate lady having a husband who always picked her up from outside! So left the 3 of us... we left the place and stopped at a random spot (maybe outside one very old church?), just beside a road. We stood there just talking for at least an hour! Hahaha! We noticed we were at a small park where benches are found when we about to make a move. -.-

It’s a happy chit chat session! Wonderful night!
